The Mighty Mount Engine Test Running Stand was engineered by automotive hot rodding expert Mark Kalish. With over 35 years of professional experience in building and customizing street rods and muscle cars, he has designed what is truly the world's best engine test running stand; The Mighty Mount.
Mark started young as an auto enthusiast. From age 3 he was helping his father restore Model T's and A's in a small unheated garage on the east side of Madison Wisconsin. As a teenager he made the natural progression to muscle cars. The first car he bought at age 16 was a '57 Chevy two door hardtop with a power pack 283 and four on the floor. Before he was 25 there was a lengthy series of Camaro's, GTO's, and Corvettes. Some of his prizes included a '69 Indy Pace Car, and a '69 RS Z28.
Twelve years ago he and his partner John Berthold, started EnviroTech Coating Systems, Inc. in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. As the business grew, they were developing a reputation for high quality custom powder coating. Quite a few customers were asking if engine blocks could be powder coated. Mark figured that the best way to answer the question was to powder coat one of his own engine blocks. The Mighty Mount was born when he was thinking of a way to demonstrate the engine after it was coated.
When you see the Mighty Mount you can see Mark's expertise at work. It is pure functionality with nothing wasted, yet its form follows the functionality, and makes it a great looking piece of equipment. It is the best designed, easiest to use and highest quality stand on the market.
EnviroTech Coating Systems, Inc. currently does business world wide in custom powder coating, manufacturing the Mighty Mount and other OEM products, and building street rods.
